VOLUNTEER WITH HCE PTO

We love our volunteers, but being part of the PTO does not mean you are obligated to volunteer. It's just a great way to stay connected to HCE! We look forward to working with you this year.
Important: In order to volunteer at HCE, you must be an approved volunteer within the St. Johns County system. See Requirements to Volunteer section below.
We have many volunteer opportunities available throughout the school year. Check out what we currently have available below, or let us know what areas you are interested by completing the Volunteer Information Signup form.
CURRENT VOLUNTEER NEEDS
24-25 SCHOOL YEAR (Ongoing) - Library Volunteer - Mrs. Espinoza, our media specialist, is looking for some extra sets of hands willing to help out during media center time for our littlest Hawks. Please sign up where you are able and reach out if you have any questions! Go to Sign-Up Genius >>
***OPEN BOARD POSITIONS 25/26 SCHOOL YEAR*** Several of our amazing board members will be rolling off the board at the end of this year. If you are interested in learning more about the PTO and how you can get more involved please reach out and we can chat! We are excited about the opportunity to bring new faces to the board! Contact HCE PTO at hcepto05@yahoo.com.
Book Fair (Fri, 3/7 - Thu, 3/13) - The media center needs lots of help for this fundraiser and it is a lot of fun if you have never helped. We need volunteers willing to help students shop, operate the lollipop pull and also with set up and clean up. Click to sign-up
Night of the Arts & Ice Cream Social (Tue, 3/11) - This year we are bringing back the Ice Cream Social to our Night of the Arts event! First, we need volunteers willing to help hang artwork in the halls anytime next week. We have broken up the volunteer slots by grade level so you can just pick which grade you want to work on and sign up for that slot. Ms. Bryant will have the artwork and tape ready in her classroom starting Monday, 3/3. This is a volunteer opportunity that you can do at any time that works for you! (Pro tip for carline parents - come work towards the end of the day (when you would be sitting in the line anyways!) and then grab your student and skip carline!). We will also need volunteers for the night of the event to help with set up, passing out ice cream (individual cups not scooping!) and clean up. Click to sign-up for Hanging Artwork or Ice Cream Social Help
Field Day (Wed, 3/12 and Thu, 3/13) - Each classroom needs 4 volunteers to help run the stations. Approved volunteers can check in at the front office and then proceed to the back baseball fields to get instructions from Coach. Click to sign-up
5th Grade Donuts with Grown Ups (Wed, 4/2) - Our final Donuts with Grown Ups will be held April 2nd (no event in March). We need a few volunteers who can help set up and clean up. Click to sign-up
